Buffalo Trace Kosher Straight Rye Whiskey is an annual, limited-edition release created in a unique partnership between Buffalo Trace Distillery and the Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc). Released each year after Passover, this expression is distilled from the distillery’s high-quality grains, aged for 7 years in specially designated kosher barrels, and bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV).
While it shares shelf space with its sister releases—the Kosher Rye Recipe Bourbon and the Kosher Wheat Recipe Bourbon—the Straight Rye stands out for its bold, grain-forward profile. It is certified kosher for year-round use, though it is not kosher for Passover itself.
