Redwood Empire Haystack Single Barrel High Rye Bourbon - Whiskey Bonded Single Barrel

A very exciting release for the entire Whiskey Bonded Family, this is the first Haystack Single Barrel being released exclusively from Whiskey Bonded and Bonded Bottle Shop. This 

A high rye bourbon mashbill of 51% Corn, 44% Rye, 2.5% Wheat and 2.5% Malted Barley botted at cask strength. This bottle is 8+ years old and 4 years of our relationship with RE in the making and I'm SO excited to bring it to you all.

This one is approachable with lots of sweet notes and great spice to bring the balance. The nose is baked apples, vanilla, honey, citrus and oak. The palate brought caramel corn, honey butter, sweet vanilla, clove, gentle spice, and a very slight mint. The mouthfeel is oily until it starts to move into the finish, drying very slightly to tame the sweetness and bring a spicy tingle and oak that finishes in vanilla and maple syrup.
