The Yamazaki Limited Edition 2022 is a highly coveted single malt Japanese whisky produced by Suntory at Japan's oldest commercial distillery. Bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof), this limited release is uniquely composed of malt whiskies aged in Mizunara (Japanese oak) casks. It features complex layers of honey, pineapple, and ginger, rounded out by the distinctive incense and sandalwood notes typical of Mizunara wood.
Note that this domestic "Limited Edition 2022" (often released for the Japanese retail and duty-free markets) is distinct from the high-proof Yamazaki Tsukuriwake Selection Mizunara 2022 (which is bottled at 48% ABV).
